Egypt will bring home 13 artifacts and a vase that bears the name of ancient Pharaoh King Ramesses II from Cyprus, General Director of Recovered Antiquities within the Ministry of Antiquities Shaaban Abdel Gawad said on Sunday.
This comes in light of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's visit to Cyprus on Monday.
Abdel Gawad told MENA that all 14 antiquities had been smuggled from Egypt.
He underlined that the ministry took all necessary legal measures under the directives of Minister of Antiquities Khaled el Enany shortly after the antiquities were spotted in October 2016.
