Egyptian Ambassador in Togo Karim Sherif on Thursday witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Togolese Ministry of Health and the Egyptian Coptic Church with the aim of boosting cooperation in the medical field and facilitating the measures of organizing church medical convoys.
In a statement released by the Foreign Ministry of Thursday, the Egyptian ambassador said the MOU is the first of its kind between the Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church and an African country.
The MoU stipulates the assignments and commitments of the two sides as per the accommodation, transportation and movement permits so as to ease the entry of medicine and equipment with the members of the convoy.
