Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin asserted Monday that the Syrians were looking forward to the day in which terrorism will be eliminated from the country and peace be achieved.
The Russian official's statements came during a meeting in Damascus on Monday with President Bashar al-Assad who said that the continuous victories achieved in the fight against terrorism in Syria provide the necessary conditions for accelerating and strengthening the process of reconstructing what has been destroyed by terrorism in many Syrian regions, which should open wide economic prospects and further opportunities for cooperation between Syria and Russia.
