The 2nd Conference for Arab Trade Unions Confederation (ATUC) started Wednesday in Marrakesh, Morocco themed ' Towards Renovating and Deepened Union Movement'.
Thirty-four regional and international organisations took part in the two-day conference, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
Oman’s delegation to the conference is led by Nabhan bin Ahmed Al Batashi, Chairman of the General Federation of Oman Trade Union (GFOTU). 'The conference highlighted the key Arab and international labour issues, said GFOTU Chairman. He added that since its establishment, ATUC has ensure rallying of the Arab labour as it developed a common vision about the Arab labor issues, such as wages, forced labor and vocational safety.
The conference reviewed the report of the internal control committee and approved the amendments to the articles of association. It also approved the report of the executive secretariat activities and highlighted the broad lines for the work programme (2018-2022.
