Petroleum Minister Tareq el Mulla on Tuesday said that the oil production of the fields in the eastern side of the Suez Gulf rose from 1,200 to 1,400 barrels per day.
The minster stressed full commitment to the implementation of plans to increase Egypt's production of petroleum and natural gas.
El Mulla made the remarks to comment on a report of work progress in Sinai fields, where intensive activities to increase their productivity are seen after a development agreement was inked with Mediterra Energy in 2016.
