Trade exchange between Sudan and Saudi Arabia reached eight billion dollars with joint investment projects totaling more than 500 ones, said deputy chairman of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce Zyad ben Bassam.
According to Sudan's El Shorouk website, a 20-strong delegation representing Sudanese businessmen and public and private sectors visited Jeddah Chamber of commerce for talks on investment opportunities.
The Sudanese delegation was led by Investment Minister Osama el Faysel.
Sudan has become one of main exporters of fresh and frozen meat to regional markets as it owns 106 million livestock heads, Bassam said.
He added that the the delegation discussed removing obstacles facing investors to further promote cooperation between the two countries.
Saudi Ambassador in Khartoum Ali ben Hassan al Jaafar, meanwhile, said the current stage requires rallying efforts of two sides to promote economic cooperation.
He underlined the importance that businessmen of the two countries would cooperate further to develop relations binding them.
