Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabeel on Monday said that a delegation of Argentinean businessmen is planned to visit Egypt on October 20 to review investment opportunities.
In statements on the sidelines of the Egyptian-Argentinean businessmen forum organized by the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, the minister said Argentina considers Egypt as a center for exporting its products to African markets.
He pointed also to the Suez Canal as a channel for Argentinian products into various countries in the world.
The minister said that a free trade agreement with the Mercosur states will enable Egypt to increase its exports to these countries.
The forum was attended by Argentina's Vice President Marta Gabriela Michetti and a number of Egyptian and Argentinean senior officials and businessmen.
