Petroleum Minister Tareq el Mulla conferred with Belgian Ambassador to Egypt Sebel Dokartier De Eve and her accompanying delegation on opportunities to boost cooperation between Belgian companies and oil sector.
They also discussed investment opportunities in the field of renewable energy along with improving power efficiency, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
The meeting also took up the most important investment opportunities in the field of petroleum and natural gas in Egypt and the efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to support investment climate in general and petroleum sector in particular.
Both sides discussed exchanging technical expertise and the distinguished experiments to improve energy efficiency.
The Belgian ambassador asserted that there are aspects of cooperation between Egypt and Belgium in the different domains.
She also expressed the keenness of Belgian companies to study the available investment opportunities and increase investment volume and open new markets in Egypt.
