EGX gains EGP 2.5bn

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) gained 2.5 billion pounds at the end of trading on Wednesday backed by purchase operations by local and Arab investment funds.
The EGX 30 benchmark index upped by 0.36 percent to reach 13,149.19 points.
The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SMEs) increased by 1.2 percent to reach 697.94 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index rose by 1.18 percent to record 1,571.23 points.
