Fifty-four ships transited the Suez Canal on Tuesday, with a total cargo of 2.7 million tons.
The south-bound convoy included 30 vessels carrying around 1.5 million tons, while the north-bound convoy included 24 ships laden with about 1.2 million tons, according to a statement issued by the Suez Canal Authority.
