The Ministry of Tourism is keen on developing the Northern Coast of Egypt and the New El Alamein City as promising destinations for tourism investment, Tourism Minister Yehia Rashed said on Wednesday.
This move comes as part of a comprehensive vision by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to develop the tourism field, which is reckoned as the locomotive of the national economy, Rashed added.
The new city of El Alamein will contribute to the achievement of sustainable tourism, which in turn leads to sustainable development, he noted.
Delegations from several world countries are expected to attend a ceremony at the New El Alamein City next week to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of El Alamein and to lay the foundation stone of the city.
