Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian from the village of Taqou, east of Bethlehem, after he allegedly attempted to stab soldiers near the village, according to Palestinian security and medical sources.
Soldiers shot Mohammad Hussein Tanouh, 26, in the head and chest killing him instantly, according to WAFA News Agency on Thursday.
The army claimed Tanouh had attempted to stab soldiers before they opened fire at him.
Tanouh’s corpse was taken away by the army.
Clashes erupted in the village between residents and the soldiers in the aftermath of the deadly incident.
