Israeli occupation forces at dawn Sunday stormed central Ramallah city and imposed a curfew on a number of buildings under pretexts of searching for wanted elements.
Eyewitnesses told MENA that the Israeli forces stormed the surroundings of the Finance Ministry premises in Ramallah, sparking off clashes with residents.
Meanwhile, sounds of gun shots and explosions were heard in the surroundings as Israeli soldiers fired tear gas and sound bombs at scores of Palestinian youths who challenged the Israeli incursion.
In northern Ramallah, Israeli occupation forces closed Beit Ayl crossing and banned vehicles from entering the city.
On Friday, special units of the Israeli army arrested four Palestinian youths from al Beira city in central Ramallah.
Tensions in the holy mosque of al Aqsa and recurrent raids by the Israeli forces in the West Bank forced Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to freeze all contacts with the Israeli side. As a result, Israeli occupation forces stormed some areas under the control of the Palestinian Authority under the pretext of searching for wanted Palestinians
