25 paintings by artist Anwar al-Rahbi depicting scenes from everyday life of ordinary people were showcased at “Notes of Love and War” exhibition opened recently at Alef Noon Gallery in Damascus.
The exhibition which lasts till the 30th of October addresses themes of absence, longing for the old days and memories of those who passed away portrayed through windows overlooking a grave.
Artist Anwar al-Rahbi was born in Deir Ezzor in 1957. He was appointed Secretary of Syria’s Plastic Artists Union.
He won several awards in Syria and around the world such as order of karl Marx in Germany. Al-Rahbi also participated in different exhibitions inside Syria and abroad.
