Pakistani students along with other international students attended a Mid-Autumn Festival party held at the Hunan University of Chinese Medicine (HNUCM) for international students from the Belt and Road countries.
It offered them opportunities to experience traditional Chinese culture. The Pakistani students learnt how to make herbal moon cakes, China Daily reported on Sunday.
Liu Xin, who is in charge of the Admissions Office of the International Education College at HNUCM, said, “As Chinese medicine becomes increasingly popular overseas, international students at HNUCM are not only from the countries along the Belt and Road including Pakistan but also other parts of the world, including the United States, France, Canada, among others.”
The Mid-Autumn Festival to be celebrated on Monday is one of the most popular festivals in China, with shops filled with decorative lanterns and mooncakes.
It is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month but usually falls in the month of September.
