The committee of experts of developing higher education and regional office of EU's Erasmus Programme in Cairo organised Tuesday a workshop themed 'continued profession development in healthcare field' at Helwan University.
The EU delegation said EU Ambassador in Cairo Ivan Surkos praised cooperation with Egypt in the fields of higher education and scientific research during his speech at the workshop.
Surkos underlined that about 1,000 students have benefited from EU scholarships during the period from 2008 to 2014.
In addition, he pointed out that Egyptian institutions participated in 49 projects of Erasmus, as 29 universities played a main role in developing higher education facilities in Egypt.
