Health Affairs Directorate had received 48 million pounds as donations from businessmen over the last two years, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Menoufia Hana Sorour said on Saturday.
In a statement, Sorour noted that such donations contributed in development of public and central hospitals, health units in villages and cities and providing them with new medical equipment.
Personal efforts along with public participation are playing great role in promoting health service presented to citizens, Sorour added.
Sorour pointed out that specialized committees are formed to receive such equipment from donors and examine them to be referred to legal and processing procedures.
