Former US president Jimmy Carter has been hospitalized after suffering from dehydration during a charity event in the city of Winnipeg, Canada.
NGO Habitat for Humanity organisation said on Friday that the former US president has spent a lot of efforts on charity projects in cooperation with the organisation over the weekend, the US-based Al Hurra TV news channel reported.
The organisation explained that Carter was exposed to the sun heat and suffered from dehydration as a result, adding that he was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Carter, 92 years old, who served as the 39th president of the United States was cured of cancer in 2015. Since leaving the White House, he has been engaged in activities to boost peace, public health and the development of third world countries, according to Al Hurra.
