A total of 12 new private hospitals with 875 beds will open in Dubai by 2020, totalling the number of private hospitals in Dubai to 38, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) revealed.
The DHA's Health Regulation Department revealed that the private medical field in Dubai is going to witness a growth in the next few years leading to 2020. Earlier this week, the authority said that the number of private medical health facilities in Dubai have witnessed a four per cent increase in the second quarter of this year compared to the first quarter, totalling the number of private health facilities to 3,018.
They include 26 hospitals, four fertility centres, 34 one-day-surgery centres, 1,624 specialised and general medical complexes, 82 dental treatment centres and laboratories, 868 pharmacies and 38 health examination and house nursing facilities.
