The spokesman for the Health and Population Ministry Khaled Megahed said that most of the wounded in Alexandria train accident were discharged from hospital after receiving treatment.
Only 42 of the injured are still receiving treatment, he noted.
Up to 11 cases are in the intensive care unit, Megahed underlined, adding that the rest of the cases are stable and will check out of hospital during the coming few days.
He further said that 39 bodies of the victims will be handed to their relatives and will be transferred by ambulances.
Meanwhile, the Health and Population Ministry announced that 41 citizens were killed, while 132 others were wounded.
The victims were transferred to hospitals by 82 ambulances.
The spokesman reiterated that the state of alert has been raised at all Alexandria hospitals since the accident took place, noting that medical equipment are provided and the injured are receiving needed medical care.
