The member of the Egyptian Society of Allergy and Immunology, Dr. Magdy Badran, revealed 10 indicators of immunodeficiency. The indicators are the repeated infection, acute bacterial infections in the lymph nodes, ear infections, abscesses in unexpected places such as the brain or liver, blood poisoning, repeated skin abscesses, infection with unusual microorganisms such as fungi, repeated need for antibiotics, useless treatment, multiple diseases and diagnoses, lack or slow response to traditional drugs, repeated need for hospital detention, repeated absence from work for health reasons, allergies, chronic diarrhea and delayed growth in children, or weight loss in adults.
"Immunity is the immune system which protects the human beings for 24 hours from diseases," he said.
He stressed that need to enhance immunity system especially in today's world, which is already suffering from numerous immune disorders, has caused modern-day diseases ranging from immunodeficiency, to chronic diseases such as allergies and cancer.
Dr. Badran mentioned a set of recommendations for the food of immunity, including seasonal food, which increases immunity during the season, so do not neglect food available in the season, the garlic, which includes 19 substances of antioxidants that protect tissues from destruction by free radicals, eating salad and fruit as well as most vegetables.
He also warned of fast food and carbonated water in healthy diets. He advised to eat all kinds of onions, mushrooms and dates, which have 40 benefits for immunity and bean sprouts. He also recommended drinking fresh milk for children.
