His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday received the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri. Shaikh Mohammad welcomed Shukri who is currently on a visit to the UAE as part of a regional tour.
They discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them in the best interests of both nations. Shaikh Mohammad and Shukri exchanged views on the latest developments on the Arab arena and challenges surrounding the region’s security and stability. They underlined the importance of consultation and coordination in containing and addressing crises through inter-Arab collaboration and solidarity.
The talks also touched on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Dr Anwar Mohammad Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Shaikhs and senior officials were present.
Shaikh Mohammad also received Peter Maurer, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). They discussed bilateral cooperation between the UAE and ICRC in the fields of global development and humanitarian issues, and coordination in aid provided for affected countries and areas
