Yemen’s governmental troops clashed Tuesday with Houthi militias and other forces loyal to Yemen’s former President Ali Abdullah Saleh in Bayda Governorate. The clashes led to the killing and injury of a large number of insurgents. Meanwhile, the militants resumed the bombardment of residential houses in the areas of Zaher and Thi Silim, indiscriminately, as well as on the farms of villagers in Qiva Rada, causing considerable material losses.

Colonel Abdullah Mohammed Sadiq Al-Hmeikani, Spokesperson of Zaher Directorate’s Military Council, said that Popular Resistance elements in the province of al-Bayda are still facing the militias, and have made significant gains on the ground by restoring strategic positions after violent confrontations in which the militias suffered significant human and material losses.

He revealed that the resistance is preparing for the establishment of an operations room that will make a quantum leap on the issue of coordination between the Popular Resistance and the National Army and the Arab Alliance, considering that this is necessary to change the image in front of everyone and to highlight what the resistance achieved.

He stressed that they are in contact with the governor of the province, Sheikh Nayef Saleh al-Qaisi, adding that "there are arrangements to train a battalion of resistance elements who have been integrated into the national army. He said that these elements will receive high training in combat skills and the arts of war, including how to deal with sophisticated weapons of various types.

Al-Humeiqani called on the leadership of the legitimate government represented by President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the Arab Coalition countries to quickly liberate the province from the militias and to support the popular resistance and not pay attention to those who want to distort its image.

In Taiz, fighting continues in the vicinity of the "Khaled bin al-Walid camp" in a dispensary, as the army advances. The attack was accompanied by the launching of the militias yesterday, a surprise attack on the positions of the national army and the resistance in the loans in the Directorate of Misrakh, south of the city, broke out after the confrontations forced the militias to retreat and escape after the deaths and injuries, and thwarted the army forces attempts to infiltrate into the vicinity of Tuba tourism and Above, west of the city.

Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Obaid bin Dajr, the Ministry of Finance quickly disbursement of salaries of all civil servants in Taiz province, according to the state budget for 2014 in coordination with the Ministry of Civil Service and the Governor and the province’s administration. He said that "the government has paid salaries to all civil and military personnel in the liberated provinces and is working hard to complete the payment of salaries employees in the provinces that are still under the control of the coup.”

This came less than 24 hours after the call of the local authority in the province of Taiz, the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank to expedite the disbursement of salaries of employees and military retirees on a regular basis like other cities and liberated provinces, and implementation of the directives of the President and the Prime Minister in this regard.
