Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday morning handed over notices to the residents of Al-Khan Al-Ahmar, east of Jerusalem, that they had to demolish their homes by themselves before the deadline, 1 October 2018.
Then demolition notice said:
“Inhabitants of Khan al-Ahmar
By the High Court decision you must demolish all buildings within the Khan al-Ahmar no later than 1 October 2018.”
“If you refuse, the authorities will enforce demolition orders as per court decision and the law.
Any citizen wishes to receive help in demolition or transporting goods must go to the liason office and call this number…”
In response, the Palestinian National and Islamic forces called for wide participation in the permanent sit-in protest on the land of the Al-Khan Al-Ahmar Bedouin village, east of occupied Jerusalem, which is threatened with demolition and displacement.
In a statement, the forces said that “this week is the time to resolve the possibility of occupation to implement the colonial plan to demolish Khan Al-Ahmar, with the escalation of measures and the Israeli siege, and calls to intensify the daily presence in the village, 24/7, to face any attempts to forcibly occupy and evacuate the village.”
Statement added that Friday prayers will be held in the sit-in tent to confirm the rejection of policies of forced displacement, and the support of the Bedouin communities steadfast in the face of occupation, and protection of the eastern gate of occupied Jerusalem.
