An extensive and substantive meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump may take place on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Argentina, Kremlin Aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters.
"[There will be] an extensive and substantive [meeting] at the G20 summit, and a brief one in Paris," he said, adding that the G20 meeting was currently under consideration. On October 18, a senior US administration official told a briefing in the run-up to US National Security Adviser John Bolton’s visit to Moscow that Trump and Putin might hold talks on the sidelines of the Argentina summit.
On November 11, the French capital of Paris will host events marking the 100th anniversary of the World War I Armistice, while the G20 summit is scheduled to be held in Argentina between November 30 and December 1.
