Sources revealed that Governor of Yemeni province of Dali decided to strike in protest against the governmental failure to meet the demands of the province on the operational and service side. The source revealed that the reason behind his decision is the failure of government to provide the province with the major requirements of work and its negligence to the development of infrastructure or basic services.
The sources added that the governorate’s cleaners and militants of Yemeni revolution have not been paid for months, while the governorate’s water project has been suspended. According to the source, the governor expressed his resentment over passing thousands of military posts without his approval.
The governor conduct a meeting with Yemen’s President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi to discuss the problems facing the governorate, as he demanded the government to take serious action to improve the situation there during the current critical period to ease the suffering of the citizens.
Sources added that Sources pointed out that epidemic are rampant due to the accumulation of garbage due to the strike of cleaners. One of the governorate’s cleaners said that they have not been paid for over 14 months, blaming the government for ignoring them during the current critical period. He added that they cannot meet the demands of their families.
In the same context, Medical sources announced the discovery of 19 cases of cholera epidemic. Doctors warned of the outbreak, if not cured and put an end to its spread. They called local and international organizations interested in the medical side to act quickly to save the population and put an end to its continued spread among the population.
