President Nicos Anastasiades of Cyprus received at the Republican Palace Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma'awali, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura and his accompanying delegation.
Al Ma'awali conveyed greetings of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said along with best wishes to President Anastasiades and the people of Cyprus continuous progress and growth.
On his turn, the Cypriot President asked the Chairman of Majlis Al Shura to convey his sincere greetings and wishes to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people permanent progress and prosperity.
The meeting discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the Sultanate and Cyprus in various fields.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Salim Al Shanfri, Sultanate's Ambassador to Cyprus and officials.
The Chairman of Majlis Al Shura also met with Demetris Syllouris, President of the House of Representatives of Cyprus.
The meeting exchanged views to promote the relation between the two countries particularly in the parliamentary field.
The President of Cypriot House of Representatives hailed the strong relation between the two countries.
He also affirmed his country's keenness to develop relations between the two countries in various economic, cultural and tourist domains.
The Chairman of Majlis Al Shura affirmed the sincere desire of the Council to promote joint cooperation between the two countries.
Al Ma'awali and his accompanying delegation also met with Ioannis Kasoulides, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus.
The two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and several issues of common concern.
