Slovenia’s president Borut Pahor stressed Sunday the importance of concerting international efforts on fighting terrorism, as it evidently became a major threat to the globe.
Pahor’s remarks came during a phone call to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in which he offered his condolences over the Friday's terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in North Sinai, killing and injuring hundreds of worshippers, presidential spokesman Bassam Radi said.
The Slovenian president reaffirmed his country’s solidarity with and support to Egypt, and condemned the terror attack that claimed lives of innocents.
Sisi thanked Pahor, pledging that Egypt would continue its war against terrorism till uprooting it.
A terrorist attack targeted Al Rawda mosque in Bir al Abd town of North Sinai during Friday prayers, claiming the lives of 305 worshipers, including 27 children, and wounding 128 others, according to the general prosecution on Saturday
