Iraqi Defense Minister Erfan Al Hiyali met Thursday with Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Security and Defense MP Hakm Al Zamly to discuss the latest developments in the military operations to liberate Al Anbar province and Al Hawija district in Kirkuk province from terrorist Daesh group.
Al Hiyali explained that the military operations are going as planned, taking into account the lives of innocent people during combat operations, according to a statement issued by the ministry, Iraqi news agency reported.
He commended the courage of the Iraqi army members in liberating several areas from Daesh's control.
