President Mahmoud Abbas arrived early Monday Palestine time in New York in order to attend the 73rd meeting of the United Nations General Assembly.
President Abbas is scheduled to deliver a speech before the Assembly on Thursday. He is also scheduled to meet with a number of world leaders and heads of delegation participating in the UN meeting.
The President is accompanied by Saeb Erekat, secretary general of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Deputy Premier Ziad Abu Amr, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad Malki and Majdi al-Khalidi, the president’s diplomatic adviser.
