Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil said more cooperation and coordination among the Arab countries should be achieved to adopt an unified stance regarding the issues at stake within the frame of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
These remarks were made during the minister's participation in the meeting of Arab trade ministers, which was held on the sidelines of the WTO's 11th Ministerial Conference in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires from December 10 to 13.
Qabil said coordination among the different groups, which represent the organization's developing countries, is important with the aim of lobbying together to giving a priority to all negotiating files of these countries.
He stated the importance of the role of the organization in serving the multilateral trade system with affirming on the principles of justice and transparency.
The minister said Egypt will do its utmost to work on achieving the results of the meetings of the Arab group in the organization and defending their interests, calling on the permanent Arab missions in the WTO to continue their joint efforts in following up the agreed stances in the statement of the Arab trade ministers
