Egyptian actress Sherine Reda revealed that she decided not to participate in the latest drama season Ramadan, while she retreated from her decision and participate in only one drama work which was “Not to Extinguish the Sun”. She stressed that she decided to participate in this work due to its scenario, saying that she cannot refuse any good work that would enrich her career as an actress.
The Egyptian actress stressed her pleasure for the positive reactions she received for the role she performed, saying that a large number of her fans were keen to contact with her to discuss the importance of her role in the dramatic context of the TV drama show. She stressed her keenness to follow the fans’ reactions, saying that their reactions are the major standard upon which she assesses her works.
She expressed her pleasure for participating with Egyptian high-profile actress Mervat Amein, saying that she is one of Egyptian major actresses who performed a major role in Egypt’s history whether on dramatic or cinematic levels.
She revealed that revealed the reasons behind her approval to participate in TV drama show“Hell’s Stone”, saying that it is not only the scenario that pushed her to accept participating in the series, while the whole staff also performed a major role to push her to participate in the new series.
She added, in a statement to “Egypt Today”, the series discusses new and different idea, as it discusses the position of woman in the Arab communities, stressing that drama should discuss the social issues to touch with the daily problems facing the people.
In drama, she said, “We are considered the guests of the families in their houses, so we should be gentle and present stories reflecting their daily life and to discuss the ways to resolve their problems.” She denied that the work is biased on the gender basis, saying that it does not support the women at the expense of men, while it presents the different visions.
She praised her successful cinema works, saying that she participated in a number of successful films, adding that she is keen to diversify her works and not to repeat the works in which she participated before. She stressed her keenness to participate in a new cinema work during the coming period, saying that she received a large number of offers, while she has not decided whether to participate in any of them or not.
