Sports and Youths Minister Khaled Abdel Aziz met on Sunday with President of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) Hani Abou Reida to discuss preparations for today's important match between the national football team and Ghana.
Egyptian players hope to secure a victory against Group E rivals Ghana in today match, to be played at Alexandria's Borg El Arab Stadium, to boost their chance for a long-awaited World Cup qualification.
The Egyptians have only qualified for one World Cup in the last 80 years while Ghana made four consecutive World Cup appearances.
Security was beefed up around the stadium with police taking more precautionary measures to avoid any wrongdoing by the fans during and after the match.
