Bahrain Permanent Representative to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Dr. Mohammed Abdul Ghaffar Abdulla met UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova.
He commended her support to the UNESCO-King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of ICTs in Education, hailing deep-rooted relations binding Bahrain and the Paris-based UN agency.
Bokova expressed delight at visiting Bahrain last May and meeting His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, hailing the wise leadership’s keenness on promoting relations with the UNESCO and other international organisations.
Bokova underlined her meetings with His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa. She also recalled her key visit to the Arab Regional Center for World Heritage
