Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov on Friday said there are no plans to conduct Russian-US joint military operations in Syria.
In statements, Syromolotov added that there are no talks between the two major international powers on a possible joint operation in the Arab country.
The Russian diplomat noted that his country had six-month talks with the US to reach an agreement on cooperation in Syria.
A week earlier, spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry Igor Konashenkov announced that the US and Russian military authorities had reached a mutual understanding on organizing warplane missions over Syria.
