President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has called for building balanced relations between Egypt and other countries and boosting ties with the traditional powers in the world while maintaining its independent decision and active role in the region.
Sisi made the comments during his meeting on Monday with a raft of nominated ambassadors who will represent Egypt abroad, with Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry present.
The president pointed out to the important role played by the Egyptian diplomacy which represents Egypt’s civilization and defends its rights abroad, presidential spokesman Alaa Yousef said.
He called for working with the international community to mobilize efforts to combat terrorism at all levels and contribute to restoring security and stability in the Middle East and ending the suffering the peoples in the region have been going through.
He lauded the efforts made by the Egyptian missions in providing consular services for the Egyptian communities abroad, calling for paying more attention to solve problems facing the Egyptian expatriates.
