The permanent delegates of the Arab League began on Wednesday their consultative meeting on the latest developments in Syria with the participation of UN deputy envoy to Syria Ramzy Ezzeldin.
The UN official will update the participants on the outcome of contacts held by UN envoy Staffan de Mistura to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis.
Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit agreed over the phone with de Mistura to send his deputy to brief the Arab League permanent representatives on the developments of the Syrian crisis.
This is the second meeting grouping Ramzy with the permanent delegates. Their first meeting took place on January 4.
