Antiquities Minister Khaled el Anani on Sunday handed over 44 ancient coins to the Iraqi ambassadors in Cairo
They date back to the era of kings Faisal I, Faisal II and Ghazi I of Iraq.
Also, the minister delivered 13 ancient manuscripts to the Chinese ambassador to Egypt, that date back to 100 years ago.
The artifacts had been seized in Egypt before being smuggled outside the country.
The handover ceremony was held at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo in the presence of the Iraqi and Chinese ambassadors to Egypt, as well as a number of the ministry's officials.
