National Disaster Management Committee asserted on Saturday that Bahrain’s regional waters aren’t affected by the oil spill near Kuwait’s shores.
General Director of Civil Defence and the panel secretary, Brigadier Abdulaziz Rashid Al Amer highlighted that the Chief of Public Security and head of the committee directed to look into the matter and take the necessary steps and plans to deal with such accidents, in which it turned to be that Bahrain is far from the oil spill.
He said that the committee is in touch with concerned authorities in Kuwait to learn the latest developments.
