The First Vice-President of the Republic, Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih has instructed the National Human Rights Commission to adopt transparency in tackling issues of freedoms , to commit to international conventions , stressing his support to the Commission.
This came when he met at the Republican Palace Thursday with the Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission, Eman Fateh-al-Rahman who briefed the First Vice-President on the Commission’s plans and its participation in the UN Human Rights Council session in Geneva.
She added that the First Vice-President pledged to provide full support to the Commission and the human rights dossier in Sudan.
The Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission further added that the meeting asserted importance of protection of human rights, indicating that she informed the First Vice-President of the Republic on the Commission’s performance.
