Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the UAE adopt the same approach, calling for confronting terrorism and drying up its funding resources, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said.
"We seek to amend the Qatari government's policy, which is based on protecting terrorists and providing them with a safe haven," he noted.
The joint higher committee will hold a strategic dialogue session in Baghdad, then it will focus on economic cooperation, reconstruction of Iraq and exchange of investments, he added.
Shoukry also stressed Egypt's keenness to remove obstacles facing Iraqi investors and open an Iraqi cultural center in Cairo.
For his part, Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al Jaafari stressed the importance of cooperation between Egypt and Iraq to face regional issues.
He noted that his talks with Shoukry tackled strategic and security coordination between Cairo and Baghdad, particularly after the defeat of Daesh terrorist group by the Iraqi army in Mosul.
Jaafari called for activating agreements between Egypt and Iraq in the economic field and facilitating procedures to allow Iraqis to enter Egypt, either for education or investment.
