Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid on Sunday denied reports on Egyptian military presence in Syria.
In statements, the spokesman said "such allegations only occur in the imagination of those who propagate them."
He added that the goals of propagating such allegations are "well-known".
The Foreign Ministry affirmed Egypt's commitment to the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.
He added that such actions can not be taken without informing the Egyptian people as there are constitutional and legal measures to be taken before sending any troops or vehicles outside the borders of the country.
