Iraq, Lebanon agree on cementing security cooperation

Iraqi Defense Minister Erfan al-Hiyali on Wednesday emphasized the Iraqi determination to boost military cooperation with Lebanon with regard to combating terrorism.
Hiyali made the remarks on the sidelines of his meeting with his Lebanese counterpart Yacoub Sarraf.
"We agreed today on fostering security cooperation between the Iraqi and Lebanese defense ministries," Hiyali told reporters after the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese minister asserted the depth of cooperation between Beirut and Baghdad at the military level.
He also praised the victory achieved by Iraqi forces over Daesh terrorist group.
