Libyan Naval Forces thwarted an attempt by a foreign fuel tanker to smuggle oil out of the country, spokesman of the Libyan Navy Ayoub Qassim told Africa Gate News website Monday.
The fuel tanker has a 6-million-liter capacity, Qassim said.
More details will be provided at a later time, he noted.
The Government of National Accord is launching military operation to combat oil smuggling, which costs Libya millions of dollars per month.
