Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al Maliki discussed with his Algerian counterpart Abdulqader Musahel the latest developments in al Quds city as well as Palestinians’ recent victory against Israeli violations in the holy city.
They also tackled the preparations of the Arab League urgent meeting at the level of foreign ministers now in session to discuss al Quds and al Aqsa Mosque situation.
The AL meeting, led by Algeria, is held in Cairo within the Arab-pan group’s efforts to confront Israeli aggression on al Aqsa Mosque and al Quds city.
Days after installing electronic gates on all entrances of al Aqsa Mosque, Israeli authorities were forced to remove them and cave in to the demands of thousands of Palestinians who had been praying in the streets outside the shrine to protest the security measures.
Israel installed the new security measures earlier this month after Palestinian gunmen shot and killed two police officers from within the site.
