The World Association for Al Azhar Graduates (WAAG), under Al Azhar Grand Imam Sheikh Ahmed el Tayyeb, lauded the wise decision of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to establish the Supreme Council to Combat Terrorism and Extremism.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the organization stressed its appreciation to Egypt's martyrs of the army and police personnel as well as civilians who lost their lives due to black terrorism.
Meanwhile, the WAAG expressed its concern over the escalation launched by the Israeli forces and its ongoing attempts to attack Islamic sanctuaries topped by Al Aqsa Mosque.
It urged all the international institutions to deplore the Israeli occupation as well as injustice practiced against the residents of Al Quds (occupied east Jerusalem); Muslims and Christians.
