Twelve Daesh elements were killed in a tunnel collapse in Tel Afar in western Mosul in Iraq on Thursday, leader of the popular mobilization forces Jabbar Maamouri said.
The militants were attempting to avoid an airstrike carried out by the Popular Mobilization Forces when the tunnel collapsed.
He noted that Daesh increased tunnel digging operations as Tel Afar liberation operation is nearing, Al Sumaria channel quoted Maamouri as saying.
