Forty Takfiris were killed in crackdowns carried out by Second Army forces on different parts in North Sinai over the past eight days, the military spokesman said Wednesday.
The raids are part of the fourth phase of Operation Martyr's Right aiming at uprooting terrorism in North Sinai, the spokesman said in a statement.
On the eighth day of the military operation, the army forces destroyed three four-wheel drives, three workshops for manufacturing explosives and 24 terrorist hotbeds.
Over the past eight days, the army forces destroyed 20 vehicles, four motorbikes, seven booby-trapped vehicles, 76 terrorist hotbeds, 11 workshops and more than 100 explosive devices.
Meanwhile, the Third Army forces destroyed four hotbeds and three motorcycles and arrested eight suspected Takfiris during military operations.
