Boko Haram seeking to spread Takfiri doctrine in Cameroon
Cairo - Egypt Today

The observatory of extremist Fatwas (religious opinion), which is affiliated with Egypt's Darul Iftaa, warned on Monday of the intensified attacks Nigeria's Boko Haram terrorist group is planning to carry out in northern Cameroon within the coming period to spread Takfiri ideas by force.
In a statement, the observatory stressed that Islam prohibits assaulting, killing, kidnapping or intimidating any person.
This terrorist group is trying to take advantage of the religious ignorance of some villagers or inhabitants of African states to spread its extremist doctrine, it said, calling on the international community to take effective measures to fight terrorism and extremism worldwide.
Boko Haram is a terrorist group based in northeastern Nigeria but is also active in Chad, Niger and northern Cameroon. It is responsible for killing 20,000 persons and displacing 2.3 million from their homes since 2009.
It was ranked as the world's deadliest terror group by the Global Terrorism Index in 2015.
