Fierce clashes erupted between Daesh terrorists and the Washington-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northern Raqqah city, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) on Saturday.
The fiercest clashes took place in the old city and its eastern part, while airstrikes were conducted by the coalition warplanes, Alhurra channel quoted SOHR as saying.
Meanwhile, Syrian forces bombarded anew sites of the opposition in Damascus and its countryside, the London-based observatory added.
